Pennant Hills Day Surgery is located on the busy, 6 lane arterial, Pennant Hills Road. The overriding client brief objective was to achieve a relaxing and calm experience for patients as they underwent the journey of a procedure.
The design features a layered external screen that simultaneously creates a serene and peaceful internal atmosphere and filters the noise, traffic and reduces the visual severity of the 6 lane road outside, also inviting the band of green tree canopy that typifies the north-west area.
The feature screen of the building is legible from the key interior spaces in which patients are being treated, connecting them to the elements of the external environment.
