Mercedes Benz acquired a prominent site on Church Street Granville.  The brief for the new building was to showcase the luxury cars and facilitate sales while also providing vehicle servicing and spare parts sales. 

The general design principles were required to conform to the Mercedes Benz corporate guidelines. The architectural scope focused on the adaptation of the Australian environment into the Mercedes Benz corporate image.  This included the integration of the BCA and Section J requirements with the high quality architectural steel detailing demanded by Mercedes as part of their image.
